Incandescent gas lamps.-The casing comprises a fixed lower portion and an upper portion adapted to be elev a t e d upon the suspension pipe, and there clamped so as to allow of access to one or of more joints between the burner or burners and the supply pipe inside the lamp, which may be easily disconnected to permit removal of the lamp ; a reflector plate may be provided with holes which merge into one another when a number of burners are employed. The upper portion a of the casing may have a cowl e and is supported by a boss b sliding upon the gas supply pipe c or other lamp-suspending means On raising the part a and securing it by the set screw d, the unions u<1> may be easily disconnected A centring-piece comprising a ring f and arms g may be used to hold the copper sleeve h and to support the part a. The chamber k may be integral with, or formed with a central perforation or tube l for connexion to, the cast-iron chimney j, and it may have projections m to provide an air space between it and the casing o. The air-supply perforations q are surrounded by a weather-guard s. The burner tubes t are secured by nuts or by screwing to the chamber k, the burner fittings preferably being those described iu Specification No. 1594, A.D. 1910. The reflector v may have a number of merging holes as shown in Fig. 2 ; and the portions x of theburner tubes may be cranked to bring the mantles close together, or a separate hole may be provided for each burner.
