Abstract

190,186. Hyne, C. J. C. W. June 20, 1921. Fan apparatus; driving - gear. - A " Pelton " or like wheel driven by liquid to be aerated drives a fan which draws air into the apparatus in the direction of the flow of the liquid, the liquid and air passing out together over rotating blades which mix them further. In the arrangement shown the buckets F' of the water-wheel are formed by bending portions of the blades of the fan F into an appropriate shape. The water enters by a nozzle C<1> and after driving the fan F, passes over one or more fan like wheels F<2> on the same spindle as the fan F and escapes by the outlet C<3>.
