Tyre attachments to rims.-The beaded edges 1. 2 of a tyre cover are connected, independently of the rim, by devices such as staples 5, Fig. 2, metal straps 9, Fig. 3, lacing 11, Fig. 4, bolts and plates 12, 13, Fig. 5, hooked plates 14, Fig. 6, or buttons 15, Fig. 7. The rim flanges are formed with extensions 24, 25, Fig. 1, and may have projections to engage, recesses such as 6, Fig. 2, in the tyre edges to prevent creeping.
