Abstract
7984. White & Co., J. S., Carat, E. C., and Forster, A. April 18. Water-tube boilers.-To economize floor space, two sections, each consisting of a steam drum and a water chamber united by tubes, are superposed as shown, a combustion space j being left between them. The steam drums are connected by pipes l, m, for conducting water and steam from one to the other. Feedwater is preferably supplied to the upper steam drum and regulated automatically according to the level of water in the lower one. Air is admitted at k to the combustion chamber.
