Sash and like fastenings.-A pivoted bar h, controlled by a spring, is secured to one sash of a window, and is adapted to engage a horn c secured to the other sash. In order to prevent the bar h from being operated from the outside, a hinged flap a, controlled by a spring i, is arranged so a s to secure the bar in the locked position. In locking the fastening, the bar over-rides the flap, which then springs up to secure the bar. The flap has to be depressed before the bar can be turned back again. The fastenings may be applied to other than sliding sashes, and to doors, panels, &c.
