25,504. Peel, W. Nov. 3. Window, door, and gate fastenings.-The fastening is shown as applied to sashes. A spring bolt C, sliding in a casing A on one sash, has a hooked end D which engages a spring catch G in a casing B on the other sash, when the bolt is pushed inwards against a spring N. The fastening thus draws the sashes together to prevent rattling. On sliding back the catch G by means of a knob K, the bolt is shot outwards by the spring N, releasing the sashes. A pin R in the bolt prevents it from leaving the casing entirely.
