12,385. Tomkinson, G. June 2. Sash and like fastenings.-A leaf spring A is fixed at one end to the meeting-rail B of the lower sash, its free end having a pin C which can be depressed into a hole D. On turning the arm of an ordinary sash fastener into the locking position, the spring is first depressed, but automatically rises and locks the arm in this position till the spring is again depressed from the inside. The spring may be applied to any suitable fastening for windows, doors, fanlights, &c.
