Sash and like fastenings ; c a s e - ment fasteners.-A fastening for sashes, casements, doors, &c., consists of a link B, provided with a set-screw A, and so mounted on a bracket D on one sash &c. as to be capable of engaging with a hook E on the other sash &c. The link may be guided between pins g, allowing it to be canted into an inoperative position, or it may be slotted to pass over pins, or it may slide in grooves in the end of a cylindrical pivot. By placing the link over the hook and tightening the set-screw, the sashes &c. are drawn together into the fullyclosed position.
