4772. Lintott, H. J. March 6. Pug-mills; moulding bricks. - Fig. 1 shows in elevation, and Fig. 2 in plan, a portion of a machine for feeding pugged clay directly to the moulding table or bench D. A pug-mill is sunk into the ground, so that clay can be tipped into it from a barrow without difficulty, and the clay from the pugmill is raised by an endless screw or other elevator C to a box E, which is formed with two or more delivery apertures fitted with doors. The clay is forced through the apertures to different parts of the table, and is moulded by hand into bricks.
