Facing-tiles.-Glass facing-tiles, Fig. 1, having projecting ribs 1, 2, 3, 4 to facilitate their attachment to walls &c., are formed in a press mould 5 by the descent of a die 6 recessed to correspond with the ribs 1, 2, 3, 4. While the metal is still plastic, the die 6 is removed, the ribs may be undercut by a suitable tool if necessary, and finally the hollows left by the die are filled with sand.
