Abstract
4736. Munro, E. M., Brecknell, H., and Rogers, H. I. March 6. Electric railways and tramways with overhead conductors. Collectors.-The trolley wheel bearing-pin d is carried in the part a, which swivels on the bearing g in the lower part b fixed to the pole. A nut e, screwed to a central projection on the part a, keeps the latter in place. A guard i on the socket prevents entanglement of the head with the wires. Snugs j may be provided on the part a to limit the swivelling motion by engaging the guard i. The pin d is lubricated through the hole k. Grooves l in the pin and passages m in the part a also convey the lubricant to the bearing g.
