Collectors.-The bracket used for carrying the swivel head and trolley pulley on electric tramcars is made with cheeks or side plates, the top edges h of which are higher than the centre of the trolley wheel. These cheeks are shaped to permit the: trolley wheel to turn about a vertical .axis and prevent the trolley head from becoming entangled with the overhead wires when the pulley jumps the conductor.
