7676. Hancock, H., and Walters, D. April 15. Electric railways and tramways with overhead conductors. Collectors. -To facilitate placing the trolley wheel on the wire, the arms A are raised, as shown, by pulling the cord. A frame B mounted to turn on the axis of the trolley wheel carries a curved arm E, which lies in the groove of the wheel, and a pair of arms A spring-hinged at C. The cor d attached to the arm passes over a sheave H carried by a frame G, also mounted on the trolley wheel spindle. Stops b limit the motion. According to the Provisional Specification, the cord is attached to tail-pieces of the frame B, the spring hinges C and the guide not being described.
