Gas producers.-A complete plant, for generating and supplying gas to a gas engine working at a pressure below that of the atmosphere consists of a gas producer e, a pressure regulator i, and a gas engine. Any producer may be used. The one shown is provided with an adjustable air inlet g and with a water tank beneath the grate f. The gas is drawn from the producer only during the suction period of the gas engine, and in exact proportion to the gas feed necessary for the engine. The small amount of gas developed between two suction periods passes to the regulator.
