This saw is bolted on a chain-wheel having teeth 9 gearing with a driving-chain 14 driven from the main shaft 4. The saw is mounted on the end of a radial arm 5, the descent of which is regulated by the screw 26. The rod 25 or other work is clamped in a holder, which, when necessary, is adapted to hold the work at an angle. For cutting off a number of short pieces, several saws with distance-pieces may be clamped together.
