Abstract
118,829. Blanckensee & Son, S., and Blanckensee, S. P. Sept. 6, 1917. Circular-saw machines.-In machines for severing lengths from intermittingly-advanced blanks, a rotary saw or cutter 37 is carried by one end of a lever 38 which is pivoted to the machine frame at 38<a>, the other end of the lever being engaged by a cam 41 to feed the saw through the work, and the saw is rotated from a fixed shaft in bearings 42 by means of a flexible shaft 45 provided with universal couplings 44. The cam 41 engages a roller 40 carried by an adjustable stem 39 mounted in the lever 38. The work-feeding mechanism may be that described in Specification 118,676.
