Abstract

18,279. Ryd, G. A. Sept. 9. Friction gearing.-Relates to a variable-speed gear. The discs b, d, on the parts to be connected, are geared together by an inclined ring f, which is mounted in a frame e, adjustable in position to vary the eccentricity of the ring. In a modification, the ring f is made up of two separate rings, which are mounted upon a spindle supported in a bearing placed between them. The supporting- frame c may be mounted in such a manner as to allow the gearing to be disconnected.
