Abstract
16,546. Stroud, R. J. Aug. 15. Wrenches.-The wrench is for turning nuts, screw plugs for gas mains, &c. placed in positions inaccessible to an ordinary wrench. The movable jaw 4 is adjusted by a bolt 8 and nut 9 as shown. The fixed j jaw 1 is provided with a shank 11 with a taper end 12, hole 18, and pin 15. The wrench is turned by a crosshandle 13 with sockets 14 to fit the part 12, or it is turned by an ordinary wrench applied to the shank 11, which is steadied by fitting the pin 15 into the hole 16 of the handle. A spring pin 17 may be used to fit into the hole 18.
