Abstract
9416. Timar, D. April 23. Gas and e x p l o s i v ev a p o u r engines. - The engine works on a twostroke cycle. Products escape through the ports c, d at about half outstroke, and during the remainder of the outstroke air is drawn in through the valve h ; at the end of the stroke gas is also drawn in through the ports e, f, g. On the in-stroke the charge is compressed, and fired by the igniter l. In a modification, the gas, after passing through a port on the piston, is led by an external pipe to the back of the air valve.
