Abstract

189,413. Parent, L. Nov. 23, 1921, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Addition to 177,797. Link-work.-In an arrangement as described in the parent Specification, in which an axially movable member is connected by links to centrifugally acting masses carried by a motor driven shaft, the centrifugal masses are constrained to travel outwards in a predetermined path in order to modify the motion of the member connected thereto. As shown, a pair of weights 4 is carried by a pin 5 constrained to travel in cam slots 2 in a pair of plates 3 fixed to a squared part of the shaft 6, the axially movable member 8 being connected by a link 7 to the pin 5. In a modification the centrifugal weight slides on a simple inclined rod fixed to the shaft.
