Spindle apparatus.-The spindles described in the parent Specification are provided with projections 4 arranged below the apex of the fluted part 3 so that, when doffing, the end of the yarn is caught and drawn out of the cop, thereby dispensing with nicks or grooves formerly formed across the flutes for this purpose.
