Abstract

Equalizing load on wheels and springs; springs, arrangement of.-To distribute throughout the underframe of a motor or like vehicle the shock on any wheel, the inside end of each suspension spring is connected to the underframe by a bellcrank lever, the pairs of levers on each side being connected by rods. As shown, the inside end of the front spring 4 is connected to a shackle 6 depending from a bell-crank lever 7, while the corresponding end of the rear spring 5 is connected to a bell-crank lever 11 by a shackle 10 situated above the lever. The levers 7, 11 are connected by a rod 14 controlled by springs 16, 17 which are arranged between an abutment 15 on the underframe and an adjustable abutment 16<1> on the rod 14. The rear ends of the rear springs are connected by a transverse connection of a similar nature. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 20368/12 and 7332/15.
