186,441. Hulme, S. July 5, 1921. Carding-engines.- A taker-in roller b, having one or more blades d running longitudinally or spirally in a space in the card clothing, is provided in conjunction with one or more perforated rollers g<1> connected to a suction pump or fan. The rollers g<1> are capable of adjustment relative to the taker-in b and cylinder a, and may be provided with means for regulating the suction. The taker-in may be provided with a series of short 'blades arranged in a spiral space in the card clothing. Specifications 26723/10 and 9766/12 are referred to.
