Portable turning-apparatus; cutters. - In an end thrust bearing mounted on the forward end portion of an engine crank shaft to coact with the engine body at the exterior thereof, a boss 13<1> of a disc 13 has a radial dove-tailed groove 23 in which is fitted a cutter 29. Before the parts are assembled, the disc 13 is slipped on the shaft until the cutter 29 bears against the body 11, and the disc is rotated until the cutter has made a seat 11<1> for the boss 20<1> of a thrust ring 20.
