Abstract

180,762. Spark, A. March 3, 1921. Reamers.-An apparatus for finishing the internal surfaces of bearings &c. consists of a bracket provided with a cylindrical boss in which is mounted a mandrel C provided with an inclined undercut groove for the reception of a cutter. Tha workpiece is rotated on three smooth surfaces formed by the radially adjustable wedge-shaped steadies B and the bottom of the boss. The cutter A is mounted in the grooved mandrel, and is of such a length as to operate on the whole length of the bearing.
