Abstract

Folding boxes; lids. - A collapsable crate or case consists of two collapsable end frames comprising members A, B, Figs. 4 and 5, pivoted together, the bottom and two sides being constituted by boards D, E, and the lid by fixed boards F and a removable board G, Fig. 7, secured by means of slots N and screws M. The case is prevented from collapsing by the insertion of ends H, which are brought into position from the inside of the case as shown in Fig. 4, are arranged to rest by means of battens K on the frame members B, and are held from falling outwards by battens J engaging with the members A of the frame. The side E that collapses outwards is constructed with a recessed bottom edge E<1> to permit the collapsing movement to take place.
