Abstract

182,264. Drigenko, C. T. May 6, 1921. Detachable - rim attachments to wheels; tyre attachments to rims.-A detachable rim 4 formed in hinged segments with one cpen joint is fitted with studs 5 which engage angled slots 3 in the fixed rim 1. The rim 4 is also fitted with means for adjusting the open joint and for effecting the rotary movements to lock or unlcck the studs 5 in the slots 3. These means comprise a pin 10 journaled in a bracket 6 on one end of the rim, one end of the pin carrying a handle 11 and the other an arm 12 engaging a slot 13 in the side wall ot the fixed rim. The intermediate portion of the pin 10 is cranked at 15 and engages a (preferably adjustable) link 16 pivoted to a bracket 8 on the other end of the rim. The fixed rim may be fitted with spring-pressed locking-pawls 17 adapted to engage projections 18 on the detachable rim
