Tyre attachments to rims.- In a tyrecarrying rim B of the type in which hinged sections C, D are adapted to swing inwardly to contract the rim, a protecting member E is prov i d e d over the hinges 12, 13, 14. The member E is preferably of steel and may be riveted at one end to one end of the rim B, the other end being free to slide on the rim B. Projections 17, 18 are provided to cover the joints at the hinge 14. The rim B may be slit at a point opposite the hinged parts to facilitate bending.
