Covers; suppers for articles to be treated.-A heat-retaining cover for cooking purposes, for use especially with a heat distributing plate such as is described in Specification 149,845, comprises an outer casing 1, Fig. 4, perforated at 6, fitted with a heat-deflector lining 2 in its upper part, and provided with a stand 7 for a dish or other vessel, which is formed of radial ribs secured to the cover and slotted at 10 to take the handle 8 when it is not in use. 'The lining is attached to the cover permanently by rivets 3, or removably as in Fig. 8, and is spaced away from it by studs 5. and has a vent 13. A detachable stand Z supports the food to be cooked within the cover.
