Abstract
181,131. Stephenson, C. March 11, 1921. Indicating.- An indicator for a lubricating- system, which is operated and exposed to view only when the pressure fails, comprises a casing A carrying a cylinder B and a spring-controlled piston C which is operated by the lubricant through a pipe B'. The piston C operates a spring-pressed lever E carrying an indicating. disc &c. G, which is mounted on a flexible member H to permit oscillation when the disc is raised through a slot in the casing A. The disc G normally rest against a spring A<1>. A pin E<1> on the lever E operates a rod J against the action of a spring L, and a lever K causes electrical contact between points M<1>, M<2> and lights a lamp or rings a bell. The disc G is raised and the other devices operated when the pressure fails and the piston C is forced downwards by the action of the spring.
