765,403. Actuation of switches. TILCH, E. Feb. 22, 1955 [Feb. 23, 1954], No. 5286/55. Class 38(5) A fluid pressure operated switch, suitable for use in the oil pressure braking system of a car, comprises a central rod c attached to a diaphragm b and opposed' by a spring g and carrying contact discs d, e, and two fixed contact rods f, f<SP>1</SP> whose inner ends project into the space between the two contact discs so that the fixed contacts are bridged by a disc on increase or on decrease of pressure. The switch may be incorporated in a warning circuit (Fig. 2, not shown) which includes rear stopping lights and a driver's indicator light so that indication is given to the driver either when increasing pressure due to the application of the brakes operates the switch, or when decreasing pressure due to leakage &c. operates the switch. The switch chamber is made dust proof.
