Abstract
181,095. Wright, G. M. March 3, 1921. Diplex signalling; heterodyne receiving systems. -A diplex system comprises a transmitting station A provided with means such as keys K1, K2, which when actuated separately give two different frequencies N1, N2, and when actuated together give a third frequency N3; and a receiving station B comprising two local generators H1, H, giving frequencies equal to N1 + N3 / 2, N2 + N3 / 2, respectively, so that waves received from the transmitter A corresponding to the closure of one key K, give the same beat frequency with one of the local generators H, whether the other key K2 is closed or open. The two beat frequencies thus produced are rectified and passed to separate receivers T1, T2 tuned by means of filters F1, F2.
