Abstract

180,727. Welton, P. E. Feb. 1, 1921. Moulding wheel tyres.-In a collapsable core of the type built up of abutting sections 10, 11, 12, 13 provided with inwardly extending portions 16 adapted to be engaged by outwardly extending portions on a locking-member which can be inserted axially and rotated to cause engagement of the outstanding portions, the locking-member is formed of two rings 20, 21 adapted to be clamped together by cross bolts. The interengaging portions on the sections and the rings have bevelled surfaces. Springs 50 and registering pins and holes 35, 36 may be provided between the rings.
