Abstract

179,806. Barclay, J. D. April 27, 1921. Rigid-jaw wrenches; handles and shanks.-A tool comprising ahead portion recessed to receive a nut or tool and having two longitudinal slcts therein, and a rod or shank having a cross pin at one end working in the slots has the other end of the rod or shank formed of square, hexagonal, or equivalent shape so as to be engaged by a spanner or key, or provided with one or more tommy holes to engage a lever. A tommy hole may be formed in the hexagonal or square end. The head a of the tool is formed as shown at b to take a nut or tool and has two slots c into which the ends of a pin f on the shank d project, thus forming a universal connection between the shank d and the head a. The other end g of the shank is of hexagonal, square or equivalent form so that it can be engaged by a spanner or key, or has a tommy hole or holes. A tommy hole h may be provided in the hexagonal &c. end g.
