Abstract

178,572. Williams, J. H. Jan. 21, 1921. Stoppers tightened by screw working in bridgepiece.-A container adapted for spraying paint or other liquid comprises a vessel 1, Fig. 1, the mouth of which is adapted to seat a cover 2, both parts being grooved to accommodate an intervening packing ring 5. The cover is held in place by a pair of bars 6, Fig. 2, each pivotally mounted on a stud 7 at one end and slotted at the other to take under the head of a stud 8. A set screw 9 situated centrally in the bars 6 can be screwed down to press the lid into sealing position. More than two bars so equipped may be provided.
