Cap stoppers, screw ; sealing - devices for stoppers.-A screw cap for petrol cans has an outer internallythreaded flange and an inner downwardly-extending plain annular flange a adapted to project and seat within the nozzle of the can, a ring b of leather &c. of less depth than the flange a being provided in the space between the flange a and the screwed flange, so that when the cap is screwed on the nozzle, the'petrol cannot reach the ring b and the ring and the flange a make petrol-tight joints. In addition to holes d for a sealing wire in the usual lugs c, inclined holes e are drilled near the periphery of the cap so that a short sealing wire can always be passed through a hole, d or e and secured to the usual fixed pin on the nozzle.
