Abstract

177,265. Holdsworth, M. F., (trading as Vitty & Co.). Sept. 24, 1921. Stocks and dies.-A block 1 having a central opening and a radial slot 2 is secured in an ordinary holder by set-screws. A jaw 4 is adjustable in the slot by a set-screw and has a V-shaped recess in the inner end to hold the end of a tap &c. The jaw has projections 5 sliding in grooves in the block, and is prevented from separating from the block when the latter is removed from the holder by a screw 9, having a button-head, moving in a groove 8. The block and jaw may have screw threads so that the device may serve as a screwing-die.
