Abstract

Boxes; racks.-Documents are filed in supports formed from one or more strips of material secured at intervals to transverse bars provided with hook-shaped ends slidable on longitudinal trackways carried by the opposite walls of the cabinet. The side walls 3 of the cabinet are provided with longitudinal grooves 4, and metal plates 5 are secured to the walls to project slighly over the lower edges of the grooves. The bars 7 are formed with hook-shaped ends 8 to engage with the upper bent-over edges of the plates 5 and prevent their disengagement from the grooves 4. Adjacent bars are connected by a strip of material or by cords 9, either continuous or ..n separate loops throughout the length of the cabinet. To adapt the device to existing cabinets, the side walls are preferably reduced in height, and plates 13, 14, Fig. 3, bent as shown, are attached to the tops of the sides. The trackways and slots may be formed from a single strip of bent material.
