Abstract

176,544. Morton, T. Dec. 17, 1920. Clips, flexible-jaw.- In a. clip applicable as a dress-fastening, and in which the material is gripped between a resilient arm b and one side of a U- shaped body part, when a stem c formed with a finger-piece and an enlarged head e is turned, the stem, which is inserted through a slotted portion of the body part adapted to be bent back for the purpose, is constructed with a collar h to provide a neck for opposing endway movement of the stem. Recesses f, g may be arranged to receive the sides of the head e, and a wearing-piece may also be fitted. In a modification, the gripping part of the spring b is formed by a tonguepiece provided by cutting slits in the spring arm b.
