Abstract

[Class 44] A tag fastener made of spring wire and formed with crossed limbs so that the jaws 12 open when the limbs 11 are nipped, has the ends 14 of the jaws overlapping and of flattened formation, to grip material between them, as shown in Fig. 3. The ends may be square, or with points 18, Fig. 4. As shown in Fig. 1, one limb is bent at 16 to form a guide, open at one end, for the other limb, the closed end 17 of the guide portion limiting opening movement of the jaws.
