Abstract

610,897. Clips. ARMAND, C. G. M. April 17. 1946, No. 11930. Convention date, April 18, 1945. [Class 44] A clip comprises two moulded levers, each having a handle portion A, a gripping portion C, an intermediate fulcrum D, and a recess F to accommodate a spring B. The recess terminates in a pocket H at one end and in a slot E at the other. The spring which has lips G to engage in the pockets, serves to retain the fulcrum portions in contact and to prevent displacement of the levers other than opening and closing. In a modification the gripping portion extends from two opposite sides of the handle portion and is formed with a plurality of recesses, e.g. four, for the accommodation of springs. The springs may be of metal or plastic material. The fulcrum parts may have inter-engaging teeth.
