Metallic spring bodies and cores. - Helical springs 11 are secured by bolts 12, 13 to an inner band 8 and an arch-section band 9 which is shaped to fit within the tyre cover 5. The band 8 rests on a felt &c. strip 4 between which and a ring 3, fitted in the rim 2, the reduced edges 7 of the cover 5 are clamped as shown.
