Metallic spring bodies and cores. - A cushion tyre 16, having a helical-spring core 22, is supported on a metal band 24 which is limited as to outward radial movement' by lugs 38 secured within the channel rim. The band 24 is formed with alternating thick and thin portions, and at the latter places leaf-springs 26 are secured to the band and the rim-bed 13. In a modification, the band 24 is formed in sections.
