Limbs, artificial.-Artificial hands and feet are made of layers or plates of spongy and solid rubber, packed between the sheets which form the outer surface and which are placed first and last in the mould. The plates are coated with an adhesive liquid before they are brought together, and after the form is complete, the mould is subjected to pressure and vulcanizing is then carried out in the usual manner.
