228,968. Duke, H. H. Nov. 5, 1923. Compound sheet materials. - A floor covering consists of two layers of the following composition :-(a) 4 parts of granulated cork and 1 part of rubber with the necessary quantity of vulcanizing ingredients, with or without 2 parts of asbestos, and (b) rubber, pigments, and vulcanizing agents. A thin layer of composition (b) is placed in the bottom of a mould, a layer of composition (a) is superimposed, and the layers are vulcanized together under pressure.
