Non-metallic elastic bodies and cores. - A solid tyre is formed by winding layers of rubber c, under tension, on a rigid base-band a, with or without an intexmediate vulcanite layer g, the wound core being then covered by a tread d and side walls e of ordinary rubber. The windings c, which are coated with vulcanizing solution, may 'be vulcanized before or after the application of the outer rubber d, e. A breaker-strip f may be fitted in the tread.
