Abstract

174,754. Rolph, W. M. Nov. 3, 1920. Bowden mechanism.-A flexible wire g, which may be of the Bowden type, is connected by a trunnion bearing h to a lever k, which can be turned about a pivot b in either direction to pull the wire. The lever comprises an operating- handle a in line with the bearing h on the opposite side of the pivot b. The bearing h comprises a socket and T-shaped attachment for the wire with axis parallel to the axis of the pivot b. The pivot b is part of a casing c, and the lever k is held down by a spring d, washer e, and screw f. The movement is limited by stops j.
