Check elastic valves.-A check valve, particularly applicable for use with respiratory apparatus and of the type comprising two sheets of flexible material connected together at intervals around their peripheries so as to leave fluid passages between the connected parts, has one of the sheets d provided with extensions c<1> which are folded around the edge of the other sheet b and cemented to its outer surface. In the form shown the sheets are octagonal in shape and the sheet b is provided with a tubular inlet a. Two of these valves may be mounted in a cylindrical fitting with a mouthpiece between to act as inlet and outlet valves in an apparatus for examining inspired and expired air.
