Fluid-actuated valves. -A valve device adapted to interrupt the gas supply to a gas burner in the event of the flame being extinguished comprises a lift valve 15 held open against the action of a weak spring 20 by the expansion of a thermal capsule 12 containing a volatile liquid. The capsule which is housed in a chamber 4 having a cover 7 screwed or soldered in position is assembled with slight clearance between a flange 13 on the valve spindle and a similar flange on a ported tubular member 9 screwed into the cover 7. The valve member is guided by a ported tubular member 18 adapted to work in a bridge 19.
