Abstract
172,502. Hale, A. T. C. Nov. 17, 1920. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Fixing.-Cleaning-brushes for the barrels of guns of the kind in which the bristles are in a twisted wire secured in a socket screwed or fixed to a rod or handle, have the wire passed through two holes in the socket parallel to its axis, after which the bristles &c. are secured as usual by twisting the wire. As shown in Fig. 1, the sccket 1 is screw-threaded internally at 2 for attachment to the handle, and its closed end is bored with two holes 4 through which the wire w is passed after bending into U form. In the modification shown in Fig. 2, the socket member 5 is screwed externally at 6 for attachment to the handle and has two holes 7 for the wire.
